Tense and aspect- situate a statement in it's time context. They indicate if a statement is in present time,past time or future time.

Determiners- they are used in conjunction with nouns, this is because noun without a determiner is quite meaningless.

Connectors- they are vital link words that relate words ,phrases or clauses.
