Education and leadership are closely related since learning comes from obtaining knowledge and guidance from an experienced educator to the less experienced students. Learning experience could be defined as being either long-term or short term and the educator has important roles to play in both cases. In the short-term, the role of the educator is to help students gain knowledge that will only help them to pass exams and move to the next stage. In the long-term, the role of the educator is to create a conducive surrounding that will assist the student in getting good grades in future. The main difference between the long-term and short-term leadership roles is the intention of the results since for the short term, it is associated with immediate results while for the long-term leadership, it is associated with future outcomes.
