Culture plays a crucial role in the development of a child. First, it gives them a sense of belonging where children are able to know their language, religion, or beliefs in a certain area. Secondly, it affects how children relate with other people: cultures, where parents demand obedience from their children, will help those children grow into respectful teenagers. Thirdly, culture shapes how children think about themselves: in cultures where children are trained about self-worth to tend to speak positively about themselves. Fourthly, culture influences how parents bring up their children: most parents usually bring up their children in a manner that is consistent with the cultural beliefs of their community.
