From a functionalist perspective schools provide ideas and values to learners through hidden curriculum in which each school has its own of working and how they disperse knowledge. For example school does not teach formulas only but also teach and transmit manners attitudes and self discipline. Functionalism argues that the social structure is responsible for all stability and instability, and that the social structure is continuously attempting to maintain social equilibrium among all components of society.
