Dear lecture
I am very upset for the 20% mark allocated to my assignment. I am wondering if the lecture marked my assignment or just make a guess. I want this assignment marked as soon as possible.
6.2 Rewrite the text in question 6.1 and provide the appropriate diction that should have been
used in the correspondence. (5 marks)
A diction refers to the original message that a text of statement of a writer portrays. It carries the original meaning through the expression of strong feelings by the writers. In other words, diction captures the tone of the message which is a major way of describing the feeling of the speaker or a writer.
In the text, the writer expresses their dissatisfaction with the low marks and is sharing concerns as to whether the lecturer in charge marked the paper or made a guess in allocating the marks. In this case, the writer should have requested for the lecturer to review the marks and reconsider remarking the paper properly. It should be written as follows; I am not satisfied with the low marks. I am kindly requesting for remarking of the assignment as I believe it has a higher score than what was allocated. Thank you.
