Answer to Question #205497 in English for Megann

Question #205497

Teacher M has planned to make Christmas cards to be presented to the parents at the year-end function. For the activity, the teacher – together with the kids and parents – collected a variety of shiny paper, non-shiny paper, pieces of wool, , bottle caps, pipe cleaners, pairs of scissors, glue and straws.

Teacher M sets up 2 tables, arranges the materials on the tables and invites 8 kids to join her. They discuss the materials set out on the table and the main features of Christmas, which are the stars that guided the shepherds to where Christ was born before getting started with the activity.

The kids speak to each other about what they are doing. Teacher M listens and waits for the right moment to join in their conversations. She notes about what she heard kids saying and what she saw them doing.

At the end of the activity, the kids are very excited about their Christmas cards. They continue to talk about their cards.

When parents encourage their children's academic endeavors, they do better in school. Attending an open house or back-to-school night at your teen's school is a terrific chance to meet his or her teachers and learn about their expectations. School officials may speak with parents and guardians of juniors and seniors about school-wide initiatives and procedures, as well as post-high school choices.

Attending parent-teacher conferences is another option to stay informed, albeit in high school, these are often scheduled only when parental engagement is required to address issues such as behavior concerns, falling below grade-level expectations, or benefiting from advanced class work.
