You recently graduated from the University of South Africa (Unisa) and have gone for interviews at several different companies. However, you have never received feedback after these interviews. You consulted workplace consultants, talent managers, labour law advisors and ethics advisors about this matter and were told that this practice is unethical. Companies should provide feedback to people who go for interviews on the outcome of their interview.

Using the scenario above, write a business letter to the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) complaining about this unethical practice that organisations are guilty of (i.e. not providing interviewees with feedback after the interview process). REF: COMPLAINT ABOUT LACK OF FEEDBACK BY FIRMS AFTER INTERVIEWS

With regards to the above subject matter, I hereby submit my complaints.

I have been attending a lot of interviews offered by different firms in South Africa. I have gone to production and manufacturing firms, processing firms, agricultural firms as well as financial firms. However, one thing is certain that none of them have ever provided feedback about my performance. This is in spite of them concluding the interviews with the "I'll get back to you" quote.

This is a very unethical business practice. Not only does it go against the South African code of ethics but it is also against human morals. It is on these grounds that I call for your intervention on the matter. Kindly see to it that legal action is taken against any firms that do not provide feedback to its interviewees.
