LETTER
I am a new publisher with some really great books to sell. I saw your announcement in Publishers Weekly about the bookseller’s show you’re having this summer, and I think it’s a great idea. Count me in, folks! I would like to get some space to show my books. Before I got into publishing, I was an airbrush artist, and I could demonstrate my techniques. I’ve done hundreds of advertising illustrations and have been a sign painter all my life, so I’ll also be promoting my other book, hot off the presses, How to Make Money in the Sign Painting Business. I will be starting my PR campaign about May with ads in PW and some art trade papers, so my books should be well known by the time the show comes around in August. In case you would like to use my appearance there as part of your publicity, I have enclosed a biography and photo of myself.
Dear Sir/Madam
I am a new publisher accredited with some books that I believe you may be concerned about. I saw your advertisement in Publishers Weekly regarding the bookseller’s exhibition you are planning to host this summer. It is a great notion, and I would like to contribute my expertise on this occasion. Moreover, leasing space to showcase my books, I can also do some digital marketing on the internet on T-shirts to assist in promoting my new brand. I have completed hundreds of successful marketing illustrations.
I will be opening my promotional campaign in New York in July 2021, with commercials in Publishers Weekly and a few art trade magazines, forestalling that my books will become famous by the exhibition period in November. I expect you to use my appearance as part of your marketing strategy if that is what you decide on, and I have enclosed some critical data concerning my books for reference if you wish to. Kindly let me know the budget for compartment leasing.
Best Regards,
