It is only at the end of the story that the tittle's significanceis revealed. Write a paragraphin which you explain the irony of the story's title.
The word “lottery” describes the prospect of success in attaining entities or assets of sentimental worth, those of which are wonderful prizes or conceivably enormous aggregates regarding currency. The likelihood of winning lotteries is essentially deficient, attributable to the fact that a wide array of individuals customarily partake in the ‘contest.’ However, the auspicious victor attains the magnificent pay-offs. Life is essentially portrayed as the most precious gift, or reward, of all. The irony in the narrative lies in the fact that the triumphant lottery winner in contrast loses their life in a particularly dreadful fashion. The dismay gradually propagates throughout the account well into its ultimate appalling end. Quite conceivably, the victor is condemned to a gruesome death as opposed to winning a hefty prize. As such, the expectations from the reader are effectively shuttered.
