Answer to Question #197687 in English for Makaia Hill

Question #197687

To cross the Rubicon means to make a decision or take a step that commits one to a specific course of action from which there is no turning back...a point of no return.  Write about an experience that you would deem “crossing your Rubicon” or reflect on a book or movie where a character "crossed their Rubicon."

I was once working as a receptionist at an agricultural organization office for five years. All was well at first until a time came when the organization had a lot of debts which it was not able to pay. This led to delayed payment of salaries, and for some months there was no payment at all. This led to many struggles since the bills still needed to be paid. At this point, I had to "cross my Rubicon" and I wrote a resignation letter.
