4. Shape of poetry varies depending on line length and commitment of poet while the shape of the prose looks like a large blocks of words.

5. Poetry uses line breaks for reasons depending on how poet wants to emphasize an idea or to follow a formatted rhythm while in a prose there are no line breaks as sentences run to the right margin.

6.Prose tends to comprise of full grammatical sentences building paragraphs while poetry typically comprises a musical scheme and usually some element of rhyme.
