Speech and sounds: use two examples of your own to explain how phonemic awareness and semantics can prevent miscommunication in the use of English
Phonemic awareness can be referred to as the capability to complement, deduct or substitute new sounds in words whereas semantics is study and analysis of how language is used figuratively and literally to produce meaning. Phonetic awareness helps analyzing the different sounds that are in English, while semantics can be said to be the fundamental means of communicating. Phonetic assist in hearing different sounds and manipulate them during the transmission for example words like flower and flour are pronounced the same way but phonemic awareness and semantics helps us to know which word is being referred to according to sentence.
