Using four (4) factors explain why achieving gender equality is important for contemporary African societies.

i. It saves lives - The female gender often face some life threatening situations due to lack of proper facilities. With the appropriate facilities, many lives of women and girls are saved.

ii. Better healthcare - In accordance to the former research, it has been established that women get poor healthcare services as compared to men. With gender equality, women are assured of getting better healthcare facilities.
