MOST SCHOOL AND COLLEGES SPEND TOO MUCH MONEY PREPARING STUDENTS FOR CAREERS AND NOT ENOUGH PREPARING THEM TO MAKE SOCIAL DECISIONS
DO YOU AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT ?
This is true. School and colleges behave like any other business enterprise; obeying the law of demand and supply. Most companies will only employ graduates who are well prepared to succeed in their career paths as opposed to those who are trained to make social decisions. The goal of school and colleges is to connect the students to in-demand, living careers and any student who has less knowledge in his/her career path but more of social decision making knowledge will get rejected in the job market and the school they graduated from will get a bad reputation for producing half-baked graduates. Most schools and colleges therefore, prefer to invest in preparing students for their career paths than for social decision making.
