1. Animal bites myths
Animal bites and scratches that break the skin can sometimes cause infection. Some bites need stitches while others heal on their own.
Myths include;
a) Rabies is transmitted only by the bite of an animal through a scratch inflicted by a dog or an animal if fresh saliva is on the nail that causes the scratch.
b) Snakes are deadly predators that are out to get you.
c) All bees sting, and if bitten twice, one will die.
2. Cuts Myths
a) Bandages lead to bacteria.
b) It would be best if you cleaned wounds with rubbing alcohol.
c) It would be best if you kept wounds dry.
3. Burns myths
a) Ice or lather up a burn with butter is the best way to control burns.
b) Fires only cause burns.
c) You should only put cold water in the burn and leave it open.
4. Fracture Myths
a) There's no point in seeing a doctor for a fracture because they can’t do anything.
b) After a fracture has healed, it’s stronger than it was before.
c) If you can move it, it not’s broken.
