Climate change is a prevalent topic in contemporary time given the increase in global temperature over the years. Global warming is an authentic case of climate change that adversely impacts every form of life on earth. The recent years have without a doubt been tough on the planet with significant climate changes that have negatively impacted the earth.

Human-related activities are the major causes of climate change. A substantial amount of climate change takes place extensively because humans burn fossil fuels for energy increasing the emission of gases such as methane, and carbon dioxide causing the greenhouse effect. Equally natural processes such as the reflection of solar energy from the earth's surface when snow and ice melts greatly contributes to the reflected solar energy causing global warming. Other natural processes include volcanic eruptions responsible for emission of Sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere causing greenhouse effect, alongside animals and plants processes like photosynthesis.

Some nations are already suffering from abnormal heat changes throughout summer, while others compelled to deal with extremely cold summers like never before. Such abnormalities are a result of climate change. Other consequences of climate change include rising sea levels, melting glaciers and imbalance of the natural eco-system-the causal factor of precipitation anomalies and temperature changes.

Climate change inarguably increases the chances of potential natural disasters like floods, hurricanes and droughts.

Thus, to decrease the impacts of climate change, humanity should spread awareness on the need for environmental conservation, protection of people in high risk areas from possible natural disasters, enacting measures intended to decrease the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere by developing substitute energy sources and development of new and effective technology to reduce the negative impacts linked to climate change.
