A. Assume that you are one of the interview panellists who are going to a renowned institution for
engineering and technology in India for campus interviews. Prepare the plan for your entire
interview process including all the types of evaluation components that are required to assess the
candidates thoroughly.
B. Write an imaginary interview that you would conduct (make sure that a minimum of 5 questions
and answers are included in your sample). Invent necessary details.
Interview Planning
We plan to interview 10 students that are within the camps of engineering and technology in India. We chose these students because they will be able to discuss well engineering and technology issues.

Pre-Interview Coordination / a. Location Selection
I. Natural Light
ii. Suitable setting
b. Notification
c. Question Preparation
The post-interview screening will include the following steps:
· The minimum eligibility criteria should be met.
· The person with the highest level of qualification and experience will be preferred.
· A good level of English in Reading, Writing, and Speaking is highly preferred.
· The person with more clear and concise concepts in the relevant field will be given more edge in the interview.
· Selection of the candidate for the post is purely on merit.
The final decision of the selected candidates will be taken unanimously by the panel and will be on merit basis. There will be no advantage given to anyone concerning any inside references (Trull, 1964).
Three Screening Interview Questions
A set of Three questions has been designed that will be asked at the time of the interview. These selected questions will give an outlook of the person and will give us a chance to hear what the candidate wants. These questions will also highlight the potential of a candidate and will give an idea of his capabilities. The questions are as follows:
The answers provided are just a sample
What is the most difficult project you have worked on, and how did you get through the challenging tasks?
“I once worked on an engineering project that involved developing predictions about mountains and the roadways near them. I changed the data that I was used to working with to include any climate or environmental changes, as the risk factors changed based on the wildlife, the weather and the people in that area. With these adaptations, I was able to complete the project despite how challenging I thought it was in the beginning.”
How do you explain engineering ideas to an audience who’s unfamiliar with the topic during a presentation or an important meeting?
“I do my best to give examples of engineering that are easy to understand and that might relate to a person or their situation. For instance, if I’m sitting down with a group of construction works, I will compare what I am saying to the process of how roads are paved. Relating the engineering ideas to real situations gives my audience a better understanding every time.”
What is your favorite type of work to do in the engineering field?
Developing a digital tag and perimeter fence for wild animals
“My favorite projects are those that include helping the wildlife populations and curing sick animals. I assisted with the plans for a new exotic animal hospital, and I was so happy to be doing something that was going to be so beneficial to those animals by designing a perimeter wall.”
