Memorable birthday

Birthdays are special days in someone’s life, that comes once in a year. Since I was born, I have never celebrated any of my birthdays. However, last year’s birthday was different. Just like any other birthday, I assumed that nothing great could have happed. Surprisingly, on my birthday eve, my parents asked me anything I wanted for the following was my birthday. I was overwhelmed and super surprised. “At least this year will make a difference”, I thought.

Besides asking me what I wanted for my birthday, my parents and my elder brother had arranged a grand party and had invited some of my friends. This helped because that time duration could not be enough for me to invite my friends. I asked my mum if I could invite my colleagues and she advised me not to worry since it was going to be a family thing only. She had no idea that I had a hint from my brother that my friends were coming.

Thereafter, my mother took me to the mall to buy some balloons and streamers, caps, and masks for décor. We made an order for cake and bought wrapping paper along with return presents. As we reached home, we worked out and put everything in place. By the time we were done, it was at night. The night passed and morning come. We woke up with mama started cooking different types of food. By the time we were done, the cake was delivered and soon, my friends started pouring. My father had arranged some games for my friends. As they played the games, I went to take a warm shower, and after which I dressed to kill. I remember vividly as if it was yesterday that I wore my red, beautiful gown and golden crown that my mother had bought for me the prior day.

I went to the main house where the venue was and everyone was standing singing birthday songs. I was super excited. I finally took a seat. Food was served and was preceded with drinks. After that I cut the cake and made my wishes. Thereafter I made my speech and then was showered with numerous gifts everything went down so well and the day was nothing but a success. That was indeed the best and memorable birthday ever.
