Artists that have committed criminal and civil offenses are usually deemed unfit for public approval in playing their music because celebrities have huge influence in the society. Such artists are many as history evidences. They include musicians such as the late Michael Jackson who was found guilty of being a pedophile as manifested by evidence. Spotify introduced a policy to limit the music that it plays on its platform by checking on the conduct of artists. After reading the article, I have realized that being famous because of music is costly if the artist's behaviors do not confirm to society's moral values, whether in the lyrics they sing or their character.
