Explain the intonation,volume,pitch,stress and pace you would use with each of the following sentences:

tick is an extremely dangerous drug.

i bought a new car last Friday!

Would you like to come over to play a game of tennis?

In the first sentence I would use a falling intonation, this is because it is a plain statement and also for emphasis. Due to the falling intonation the pitch also falls. I would stress the words extremely and dangerous to show how serious it is. I would not raise my volume and my pace would be slow because it is a statement.

For second sentence I would use a falling intonation because of the use of an exclamation mark .The pitch of my voice would also fall. I would stress on the word car and new for emphasis. My volume would rise slowly and a fast pace because of the excitement.

In the last sentence I would use a rising intonation because it is a yes /no question. The pitch of my voice would rise by the end of the sentence. I would stress on the word tennis for emphasis of the game. In this case I would lower my volume because it is a request; the pace would also be slow.
