"Warm" can have a two-pronged meaning. Warm can used to describe having or giving out heat in a moderate degree while on the other hand, it may describe the expression of affection, gratitude, friendship or empathy ("Definition of WARM," 2020)
Thus one could construe "a face so warm" as someone who has a face that's giving out heat, someone who is warm to the touch. It could also be interpreted as someone very loving and affectionate. By having a warm face, it would mean that their love and affection is shown through their face, probably in their features, way of looking, smiling, and in their facial expressions.
