Sponges have intracellular digestion and lack tissues, while cnidarians have nematocysts. Sponges feed by capturing planktons by filtering water through their cells awhile cnidarian are predators and feed on small fish. Ideally, sponges have no tissues, while cnidarians have tissues but lack organ systems.

Sponges are not parasitic in nature, while roundworms are parasitic. Roundworms have a tubular digestive system with openings on both sides and reproduce sexually. For sponges, feeding is through filtration, and reproduction can be asexual or sexual.
Sponges Vs. Flatworms
Sponges lack tissues and organs, while flatworms have tissues and organs. Sponges are also non-parasitic, while flatworms are parasitic. Reproduction in flatworms is hermaphroditic, while in sponges can be sexual or asexual.
