The professional learning community members conduct their meetings and discussions. Competence and confidence, developed through support of their principal and other facilitators, enable them to make important and reasoned decisions about their work for their students. Furthermore, professional communities act as an empowerment mechanism to teachers. Working with colleagues allows teachers to reflect on their own processes and develop their skills. They can also receive insights from other teachers as well as provide it. Finally, professional learning communities play to all teachers' strengths and help them build their practices in new areas.
