Realism is a direction in literature which reproduces reality in its typical, ordinary features. The main features of realism are objectivity, accuracy, naturalness. Non-fiction is a direction in literature that implies the veracity and accuracy of information, events or people. Non-fiction literature presents evidence and true-life experience. These two terms are not interchangeably as realism refers to the plot, characters, settings meanwhile non-fiction refers to actual events and people.
