           One of the challenges that Carrick Felix faced in his career life was knee injury that saw him in his young age cast out by two teams, and later on, as an adult, the injury put him off the field for more than a year for recovery. What is ideal for him is that during this time, while recovering from his last kneecap injury, he chose to have a reflective moment for the years he was at rest that saw him reach a level of self-discovery and venture into programming. Another big challenge that Felix faced is choosing between joining college and staying at home and wait for her daughter to be born and look after her. In this stage of his life, he chose to join college but at the same had to channel all his scholarship stipend to sustain her daughter and the mother. To overcome the financial challenge at that time, he had to sleep in his car for some time.
