Water is being transmitted from a large lake, 6 m deep, to a community water station 25 m below the location of the lake. Two pipes connected in series are used in between these two locations. The first pipe has a diameter of 2 in, a length of 15 m, and a friction coefficient of 0.005 while the the second pipe has a diameter of 1.5 in, a length of 20 m, an friction coefficient of 0.005. What is the pressure of water at the bottom of the lake? What is the flow rate at the discharge?
