a. Define FET temperature sensitivity. Describe pinch off voltage
b. Describe P-channel JFET characteristics curve.
Pinch off Voltage:
The Pinch-Off value of a JFET is defined as the voltage applied between Drain and Source while keeping the Gate voltage at zero volts, at which maximum current flows.
FET Temperature Sensitivity:
The temperature sensitivity analysis if a FET can be analysed by increase in JFET temperature that results in decrease in the depletion region width and decrease in the carrier mobility. Furter, decrease in the width of depletion region results in increase in channel width, which in turn increases in Drain Current, that gives a positive temperature coefficient for Drain Current.
