Public wage in South Africa refers to the amount of money the government of South Africa spends on its employees.The government spends a third of its budget on salaries of employees.This includes civil servants, the police service, the teachers service and even to the doctors.The public wage bill became a problem when the government decided to empower the black disadvantaged people back from the apartheid period by empowering them with public jobs hence there was an inflation on public wage bill by 40%.( The graphs and tables have adamantly refused to appear from my end despite numerous efforts to make them appear)
