One of the sectors hit by COVID-19 is the education sector.

It was impacted in a negative way as all schools were closed to prevent further spread of the disease. All the students right from primary level to tertiary were send home and schooling ceased for an indefinite duration. Teachers were send on unpaid leave and students left unattended.

Strategic measures taken to address this problem were; online classes began, training of teachers on how to teach online and also the students on how to attend the classes. Also online graduations were instituted to ensure students complete their students in time.

The issue was at least addressed to ensure the students complete their students in time. It also encouraged enrollment of those lacked the time to attend physical classes.

What I can recommend the schools to have the physical classes and ensure all the COVID- 19 protocols are followed to ensure it does not spread.
