Analytical chemistry is a scientific area and practice, which uses instruments and methods used to separate, identify and quantify matter. One of the examples of the activities in analytical chemistry can be the quantification of sulfate content in the watery solution. It is based on the reaction: Ba2+ + SO4// = BaSO4↓ In this case BaSO4 precipitates in the quantity, which is equivalent to the content of sulfates in water and Barium ion in the used solution. Therefore, sulfate content can be calculated from the upper equation.
