Discuss the effects of the three factors that influence reaction rate.
Factors affecting reaction rate:
1. Concentration of reactants. If the concentrations of the reactants increases, the reaction proceedes faster due to an increase in the number of molecules with the minimum energy required for the reaction.
2. Catalysts. Catalysts lower the activation energy of the reaction and increase the reaction rate without being used in the reaction.
3. Temperature. Higher temperature increases the number of particles that have the minimum energy required for the interaction. In contrast, the reaction rate decreases with a decrease in temperature.
