When ammonium acetate dissolves in water, the solution becomes cooler than the temperature of the water before solution. Is ammonium acetate more soluble at height or low temperature?
Once the solution temperature decreases, the dissolution process is endothermic (consumes heat from the environment). According to Le Chatelier's principle, increasing the temperature will accelerate the forward reaction. Therefore, ammonium acetate is more soluble at high temperature.
