5.0 g of hydrocarbon gas formula C2H4 has a volume of 1.3 L at 1.05 atm. The temperature of the gas is
The unfolding, or denaturation, of a biological macromolecule may be brought about by treatment with substances, called denaturants, that disrupt the intermolecular interactions responsible for the native three-dimensional conformation of the polymer. For example, urea, CO(NH2)2, competes for NH and CO groups and interferes with hydrogen bonding in a polypeptide. In a theoretical study of a protein, the temperature–composition diagram shown in Figure was obtained. It shows three structural regions: the native form, the unfolded form, and a ‘molten globule’ form, a partially unfolded but still compact form of the protein.
(i) Is the molten globule form ever stable when the denaturant concentration is below 0.1?
(ii) Describe what happens to the polymer as the native form is heated in the presence of denaturant at concentration 0.15.
How will you determine the electrode potential of zinc using SHE?
60 ml of standard hardness containing 1 mg of pure CaCO3 per ml consumed 22 ml of EDTA. 40 ml
of water sample consumed 20 ml of EDTA solution using EBT indicator. 40 ml of water sample after
boiling, filtering consumed 15 ml of EDTA. Calculate the temporary and permanent hardness of
water sample.
What's More Activity 1.1 - Who's Older, Who's Younger? The rock layers below labelled A to F undergo sedimentary process that results to changes in rock form. Use the diagram of a rock layer below to complete and answer the questions. Guide Questions: 1. In what layer was the first rock formed? 2. What letter is the second layer of the rock? 3. What happens in the rock represented by letter D?(cutting,or insertion). 4. What three layered letters is cut by letter D? 5. What takes place in letter F?(fault,folds) 6. What environmental factors occur in letter E?(weathering and erosion, volcanic eruption) 7. Which rock layer is the oldest? 8. Which rock layer is the youngest? 9. Which layer describes the law of horizontal continuity? Which layer shows an angular conformity?
. 1.250 g of naphthalene was dissolved in 60 cm3 of benzene and freezing point of the
solution was found to be 277.515 K, while that of benzene 278.495 K. Density of
benzene =0.880 g cm–3, Kf =5.1 K per 1000 g benzene. Calculate the molecular mass of

N2(g)+3H2(g) 2NH3(g) if H= -92.2KJ and S = -0.2987KJ what is G for the reaction at 475 degrees celcius and at 5 degree celcius? Provide the answer in KJ. In each case is the reaction spontaneous?
The element chlorine exists as two isotopes. Their relative atomic masses are 35.0 and 37.0, and their natural percentages are 75% and 25%, respectively. Calculate the mole fraction and mass fraction of the molecules with the highest mass among the molecules contained in a natural dycllorin sample.
the enthalpy and entropy change for the reaction are -3.9KJ/ mol and + 56.6J/ mol K respectively at 25 degree celcius. what is the free energy change in kj/ mole? is this reaction always spontaneous never spontaneous or does it depend on the Temperature?
