Well, the formula C4H8

C4H8 specifies ONE degree of unsaturation; the SATURATED formula would be C4H10

C4H10 the which has TWO structural isomers

Now a degree of saturation specifies an olefinic bond OR a RING junction

So we got two alicyclic structural isomers, i.e. cyclobutane

cyclobutane, and methylcyclopropane

methylcyclopropane to start…

And we could recognize FOUR ACYCLIC OLEFINS: 1-butylene

1-butylene; Z-2-butylene

Z-2-butylene, E-2-butylene

E-2-butylene, and methylpropylene
