Q1. 20cm³ of a gaseous hydrocarbon and 150cm³ of oxygen were exploded in a closed vessel. After cooling, 110cm³ of gases remained. After absorption by concentrated NaOH solution, the volume left was 50cm³. Determine the molecular formula of the hydrocarbon
2 cm3 of a hydrocarbon was mixed in combustion with excess (20 cm3) of oxygen. 16 cm3 of residual gas was obtained after explosion and cooling. The residual gas was passed over a solution of potassium hydroxide and 6 cm3 of the residual gas was absorbed. What is the molecular formula of the hydrocarbon and its IUPAC name??

A sample of potassium chlorate is known to contain some impurities. It is found that K+ makes up 9.5% of the entire mass of the sample. All of the K+ comes from potassium chlorate compound. Find the percent mass of potassium chlorate in the sample.
This question is about masses, volumes and moles

(a) Which term is defined by the following statement? The average mass of naturally occurring atoms of an element on a scale where the 12c atom has a mass of exactly 12 units
a 1.0g sample of a mixture which contains only NaCl and KCl have a precipitate of AgCl which weighed 2.0 g. what are the percentage of Na and K in the mixture?
What is the effect of the exchange of ligands in the electrolyte on the Electrode Potential in a voltaic cell?

So I am a high-school student and I am researching voltaic cells, and the effect of ligand substitution has on them. Basically, my experiment is that I add some designated solutions to Copper sulphate (I added EDTA, HCl and Ammonia), and then use this new solution to make a voltaic cell using a copper strip. This changes the potential difference of the cell. But I have no idea what this happens and is genuinely interested why does occurs. Thanks guys have a great day
