Question #37360

Sir/Madam, I have mixture of several acids e.g. sulphuric acid, carbonic acid, nitric acid and acids of aldehyde and ketones I want to solidify them(to make solid or crystal form). Is there any simple process to do this, please reply soon.

Expert's answer

1. The simplest way to solidify a mixture of acids is to freeze the mixture. Organic and inorganic acids freezing at low temperatures.
2. Also You can find and use an acid-stable hardener. Hardeners are compounds, that hardens liquids.
3. Salts are solid, as a rule. You can turn the acids into salts and evaporate rest of water. But in this case You have to somehow turn it back to the mixture of acids.
