A simple of Hydrogen gas occupied a volume of 10dm3 at 80℅. Calculate the new temperature when the gas is cooled and the volume is reduced to 2.5dm3 at constant pressure.

Given at initial conditions : "V= 10 dm^3; T =80\u00b0C= 353K"

As Pressure and number of moles of gas stay constant, from ideal gas law we get;

"V\/T=constant"

Finally "V=2.5dm^3"

"\\implies V_i\/T_i=V_f\/T_f"

"\\implies T_f=(2.5\/10)*353"

"=78.25 K=-194.75\u00b0C"
