Answer to Question #71166 in General Chemistry for John

Question #71166
Hi,
1) If I make a saturated solution of MgSo4 in 20 degrees distilled water, How much energy are used to make an electrolysis for all 100 ml.
2) Will the electrolysis end product around the anode and catode be H2 and 0-
3) Would there be a difference in terms of the energy i need to use for the electrolysis if i instead of dissolving mgso4, make a saturated solution of Nacl at 20 degrees in 100 ml distilled water.
4) Will the endproduct around the anode and catode be H2 and (O- and Cl-) if I use Nacl
5) Any difference in the energy i need to put,(in number 1), if I instead use, Mgso4*6h20 or Mgso4*7h20, still a saturated solution at 20 degrees, to make a full electrolysis of all 100 ml
