Thus, hydronium ion concentration [H3O+] = 0.0570

Using the equation:

pH + pOH = 14

 we can work out the pOH of the solution by first calculating its pH.

pH = - log [H3O+]

pH= - log [0.0570]

pH= 1.24

pOH = 14-1.24

pOH= 12.8
