Draw and describe the formation and structure of the given polymer.
a. sample of organic polymer
b. sample of inorganic polymer
(a)
Organic polymers have Carbon. Example is Polythene
Polythene is formed when ethene add together end to end by opening of the double bonds to form long polymeric chain molecules.
(b)
Inorganic polymers are any class of large molecules that lacks carbon and are polymers.
Silicones are polymeric organosilicon compound of general formula "(R_2SiO)_x"
They are formed by reaction of water with Organo chlorosilines , followed by a polymerization reaction that occurs by the elimination of a molecule of water from two hydroxyl groups of adjacent "R_2Si(OH)_2" Molecules.
