Volume of cyclopropane, V = 5.0 L

pressure of cyclopropane,P = 5.0 atm .

At constant temperature When,

cyclopropane has pressure,P' = 1.0 atm

Let volume of it = V'

According to Boyle's law at constant temperature,

P/V = P'/V'

Or, V' = P'×(V/P)

Or, V' = 1 ×( 5 /5 )

Or, V' = 1

Hence

volume of the anesthetic given to a patient at pressure of 1.0 atm is = 1 L
