Metallic bonding is a chemical bond resulting from electrostatic attractive force between conduction electrons (-) and positively charged (+) metal ions. The atoms in metals have a strong attractive force between them and much energy is required to overcome it. Therefore a small atomic distance exist between the atoms in metallic bonding.

2.Atomic Packaging Factor, "APF =(N particle* Vparticle) \/(V unit cell)"

Where N particle is the number of particles in the unit cell, V particle is the volume of each particle and V unit is volume occupied by the unit cell. The atomic packaging factor of a unit cell is relevant to the study of materials science, where it explains many properties of material such as malleability and ductility.

3. A unit cell is the smallest repeating unit having the full symmetry of the crystal structure. A primitive cell is a unit cell that contains exactly one lattice point
