Molecular orbital theory tells us that how no bond is formed between noble gases. It also tells about observed paramagnetic behavior of O 2 it also tells us that molecule is a set of molecular orbital formed by overlap of atomic orbitals. On the other hand, valence bond theory does not give such answers. Thus MOT is superior to VBT.
