Angiosperm plants have both gametophyte and sporophyte stages. However, the sporophyte phase is more prominent in angiosperms and is represented by almost all organs of the plant, including leaves, stem, roots, and flowers. Only a few germ cells produced in grain or pollen serve as a gametophyte.
