Division of chicken egg cell is not equal. Fat is accumulated at one pole of the cell (called vegetative pole) and it makes cytoplasm divisions at that region impossible. Cytoplasm can divide at the opposite pole only (animal pole), which is a small portion of the cell on its top. As a result of those divisions, there is a thin disk of small cells at the animal pole, which gives the name for the cleavage.
