(2) Cell membrane is the same in E.coli and Chlamydomonas. It is a lipid bilayer consisting of amphipatic compounds. Cell wall differs in chemical and structural organization; ribosomes are of 70S and 80S type respectively, and E. coli has a prokaryotic chromosomal organization in contrast to Chlamydomonas, which is an eukaryote.
