I am working on a genetics problem involving mapping function. The recombinants percentage frequency is over 7% which means it needs a specific formula to correct it and how would I do that?

The recombination frequency is used to measure the intensity of linkage between genes. Because the recombinant frequency is 7 percent, the genes are rather tightly linked. The map distance is equal to the frequency of recombination, written as a percentage..We can therefore say that two genes are 7 cM (or 0.07 M) apart
