Briefly explain the following assessment methods - . self-assessment. Peer assessment.group assessment
Self-assessment provides students with an opportunity to self-evaluate, or make judgments about their learning process and products of learning, based on criteria that they have agreed on with their instructor.
Peer assessment involves students taking responsibility for assessing the work of their peers against set assessment criteria. They can therefore be engaged in providing feedback to their peers (sometimes referred to as peer review), summative grades (moderated by you or your colleagues), or a combination of the two.
In a group assessment, teachers may assign students to work alone, in pairs or in small groups. Students' understanding of patterns may be assessed both by observation of how they approach the task in class and by analysis of student work afterwards.
