The photoperiod will be disrupted.
Light pollution is characterized by the excessive intensity of artificial light during night periods. Many processes that occur in plants significantly depend on circadian rhythms associated with the alternation of daytime and night. These changes are detected by plants and regulate its growth, metabolism, development of organs (i.e., flowers), interaction with pollinating animals, etc. Disrupted photoperiods caused by light pollutions may significantly impair physiological processes in plants.
