2. Symptoms are: frequent urination, increased thirst, feeling tired and hungry, blurred vision.

3. Treatment include: healthy eating, regular exercise and use of diabetes medicine like metformin.

4. There is no cure for diabetes but can be controlled with a healthy diet, exercise and overall healthy lifestyle.

5. Diabetes (type 2) is inherited and is linked to family history and genetics. Mainly caused by autosomal body mutations.

6. Diabetes is so common with estimated 463 million people living with diabetes all over the world. Each year, estimated 25.4 million people get diabetes.

7. Diabetes is more common among African-Americans and Asian-Americans compared to whites. Men are more likely to receive a diagnosis of diabetes than women.

8. The average lifespan for people with diabetes is estimated 74 years.

9. A family of a person with diabetes have a high risk of developing diabetes too. The family may also have difficulty in maintaining high cost of healthy lifestyle.
